Videos from the Capstone Design Project Course in Software Engineering
The students, in their final project presentations, compete in the annual IBM Challenge . The following videos show how the robots, built by the students under the supervision of Dr. Smith, solve the problem.

The project for 2006 is for the students to build robots for urban search and rescue. They are using Lego Mindstorms robots to enter a scaled down hallway network where some disaster is assumed to have occurred. The disaster is considered to be dangerous enough (possibly due to radiation, fire, or instability of the structure) that human workers cannot enter to rescue the victims. The Lego robots will go into the hallway network to rescue the victims, which will be represented by eggs. The goal for the robots is to get the eggs to safety without breaking them.
