Tabular expressions are a very useful, readable technique for documenting software. While they have been successfully used in safety critical industrial applications, they have not been widely adopted by the software engineering community, in large part due to a lack of tool support. With this in mind I had Colin Eles create a Tabular Expression Toolbox for matlab simulink as part of his M.A.Sc. in Software Engineering.
