Biography
Jon Lee
IBM
T.J. Watson Research Centre
Yorktown Heights, NY
Jon received his B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. ('86)
degrees from Cornell University. He has been a faculty member of
Yale University and of the University of Kentucky. Jon was a research
visitor at the Center for Operations Research and Econometrics,
Université Catholique de Louvain, in Belgium, for the academic years
'91-'92 and '99-'00. He has been at the IBM T.J. Watson Research
Center since '00, where he is Manager of the Theory of Computation
group.
Jon was Vice-Chair for
Integer Programming of the Optimization Section of INFORMS for '99-'01
(and Optimization Section Council member for '99-'03). He is Managing
Editor of the new journal Discrete Optimization, an Associate Editor
of the journal Discrete Applied Mathematics, an external member
of CORC (Computational Optimization Research Center) of Columbia
University, a member of the Working Group on Discrete Optimization
of the IFIP (International Federation for Information Processing),
a member of INFORMS and of MPS, and an Adjunct Professor at the
Leonard N. Stern School of Business, New York University.
