Call for Papers

This conference concerns research on modeling, design and analysis of algorithms for data mining and machine learning. Both theoretical and computational studies are welcome. Typical, but not exclusive, topics of interest include: statistical modeling and methods in data mining, classification methods, optimization methods for support vector machines; optimization methods for clustering, optimization modeling in data mining and machine learning; genetic algorithms, neural network.

Contributions are solicited for presentation at the conference. Each accepted paper will be allotted a 25 minute talk. A volume with the abstracts of the invited and contributed talks will be distributed to all conference attendants. Authors wishing to speak should submit an abstract by April 5, 2005. Notification of acceptance is April 10, 2005.

Special Issue:

A special issue in Optimization Methods and Software will be published based on the workshop. The deadline for submission has been extended to July, 2006. To submit a paper (no longer than 15 pages), please send the PDF or PS file of your paper to Janet or the program chair before July,30 2006.
