Only students who have been approved by the department are allowed in the lab

No food or drinks in the lab

Everyone is required to use their own access card, do not ask students already in the lab to let you in, their
access will be revoked if they do so

No one is allowed alone in the lab, at least two students present are required when using the lab. The lab is under video surveillance
used to ensure this requirement is met.

No systems with batteries unless they have been inspected and approved by the lab technician (i.e. Robert) - check for proper battery holder and connections, plus fuse or other protection in place in case of short circuit.

No systems with electrolytic caps

No high voltage systems (i.e. running at 120V )

No machinery or moving parts unless it is inspected and approved by the lab technician

In the case of a fire or medical emergency the number to dial internally is 88

The first aid kit is located in ITB-242 and ITB-202

If there is an unsafe working condition you should report it to the Robert Li in ITB-242,
Derek Lipiec in ITB-120, Dr. Mark Lawford in ITB-160 or main office staff in ITB-201

Everyone is responsible for knowing the location of the nearest fire
extinguisher, fire alarm pull, and the nearest escape
