What's New:

• This Friday during my office hours I will give priority to SFWR ENG 2F03 questions from 14:30-15:30. From 15:30-16:30 SFWR ENG 4A03 questions get priority.
• What's on the Exam? 3 questions - 1 on digital control systems and their requirements, design and implementation for approx 40 marks and then two for 30 marks each on scheduling theory, RTOSes, real-time systems design and implementation. You are allowed to bring in the following material:
  1. Course Textbooks
  2. 4A03 Custom Courseware Course pack
  3. Your Notes - including posted lab solutions, etc.
  4. McMaster Standard Calculator Casio-FX991
• Lab3 solutions are now available.
• Final exams from 2002 and 2001 are available for your study. Also, you may want to look at the 2002 Lab 4 and its solutions for some simple scheduling problems.
• The 2004 midterm solutions are now available.
• Lab 1 and 2 solutions are available in the Solutions subdirectory.
• Lecture notes for the recent requirements material is now available:
  1. 4 Variable model decomposition, and
  2. Formal Modeling of Real-Time Requirements

• If you are having problems accessing the subversion repository, email Alex (korobkao@cas.mcmaster.ca) with your problem. Give him the command you attempted and the error message you received as a result.

Course notes and assignments will be made available in the Notes directory. We are using a new textbook this year I am changing the focus of the course this year so the notes may change significantly as we get to each section.
